Videos no longer resuming from last played time

I can confirm it is no longer working. Have checked the setting as well, it's on. Using the app from Oculus, fresh install.

Yup, the option is enabled. I even tried unselecting it and re-selecting it to see if that would trigger it back on but nothing happened.

The device I'm on is a Meta Quest 2, I was using Air Link and the app is 13.19.1687, updated 11 days ago

Option enabled. Toggled to off and back to on. Videos always playback from beginning. v13.19.1687 on Quest 2.

Note: The PC/Link/Rift v13.19.1687 behaves the same and always starts replay at the beginning of the video.

Got it, bringing this up again with the team. @KeithSlarke and @qaruk, can you please confirm what connection you're using to access DeoVR? Is it through the headset app, Quest Link or something else?

I got the updated version and it has not resolved the problem. Still on Meta Quest 2 using AirLink to link to my PC.

Thanks for the follow up. @Corbolan , @bncecil and @qaruk , does this happen with both online streaming and local playback, or just the local one? Additionally, does this issue persist when you use the device app instead of AirLink?

PavleDeoVR online streaming works fine for me, it seems the issue is on local playback using DLNA (I have not tried without DLNA though). I only use the device app, I do not use AirLink.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out @qaruk . Although I am still actively gathering this report and informing the team, I wanted to let you know that we have stopped officially supporting DLNA, SMB and local play in general a while ago. The feature itself is still accessible to a certain extent, but future developments of the app will be focused towards the online streaming service. As such, there's a possibility that future updates won't come with improvements or fixes for anything DLNA related.

I have the latest DEOVR version using quest 3 watching local files on my home network via DLNA. The problem still persists - even without leaving the app. So watch a movie, place it at minute 16:00, exit movie, come back and it starts from the beginning. My personal opinion is this is either a passive aggressive way to get us to stop using DLNA so that they won't have the same amount of backlash the last time they removed DLNA from DEOVR. Either that or their team is not trained in the most basic element of software development - test & fix existing functionality first before testing any new functionality.
It's one thing to say that DLNA will no longer be improved upon, but what reputable software company breaks existing and basic functionality of a streaming service, and doesn't take responsibility to fix it. Not many.
