Perhaps joystick control is extremely challenging to the best of software coders.
Not sure if anyone agrees, but at this point I might as well accept it is. What week is it now : )

parrotcave @kazik1981o2 The issue with the thumbsticks is unrelated to Meta’s plans to deprecate Quest 2/Quest Pro. These two matters are not connected in any way.

I have quest 3 and still have the issue, but im not trying to use steamvr or airlink or whatever, everything was perfectly fine before, what gives. Here is my setup..

METAQuest3 --> Virtual Desktop(run as admin) --> DeoVR player --> VR media on my PC

Anyway, what other program are you all using to watch VR? like no thumbsticks, tf? lol

There is no choice at the moment.
To get joystick working your only options are quest 3 must solely use pc steamvr environment and launch deovr downloaded through steam store, Or use deo inside headset standalone. For quest 2 some say standalone mode works as well

Deovr joystick through the Pc Meta Link environment will not work until the deovr developer enables/allows it

There isn't any issue with thumbstick input, it's obviously disabled in pc meta link by the developers.
Unspoken, but we all know time to upgrade to quest 3 and use steampcvr for full functionality

In no reality does thumbstick input requiring months of fix. Wake up people lol

Like many I have been living with this for a long time now. As a user I still would recomend DeoVR but ones loyalty has limmits. I understand I'm just one of a great many; with no idea of the complexities supporting this ever changing technology. But, I once again add my voice to the call "Please do fix it".

You don't recommend steamvr, but in the same breath published the deovr streaming app on said steam store. I hope I'm not hallucinating the read - mind you the only solution for deovr thumbstick on pcvr at the moment. For months now input supposedly ''br0kEn'' and deciding to hold it off as the last thing to look into is absolute toxic comedy. Some paid subscriptions are tied to this vr player; even if this spectacle was done in the month of April we'd still wouldn't find it humorous

Nonetheless, I read this is resolved in the next release. To end on a good note, I'm proud of you.

parrotcave We have app versions for Meta, SteamVR, and Pico.
It is better to use the Meta version on Meta headsets. We recommend it.
You can use SteamVR in the meantime until the issue is fixed.

Just noticed this is broken on my Quest 2 and Link/airlink.
Migration menu has disappeared from settings. Seems to do this
randomly. Doesn't matter as the import/export on my Quest 2 standalone Deovr either reports a server error or just locks up.
How is it that each update seems to break some core function and it takes months to fix?

I just launched DeoVR Rift version 15.1.3467 with Virtual Desktop and is working with controllers for the first time. Same with SteamVR version.
Performance is still awful so it is not usable for me. Constant stutters in VR180 videos. Normal performance for 4k SBS (some, like the one in the video are still broken).

terryfi3d As Oculus Rift was discontinued and doesn't receive updates anymore, we can't guarantee stable app performance on these headsets.

DariaDeoVR In the video I linked I am using SteamVR, not rift, with the same performance issue.

No, I am using a quest 3. With DeoVR installed from Steam.
