yes, in quest 2 in both cases meta link and steam link the joystick still doesn't work, it only works directly in oqulus2

I am having the same issue. The joystick does not function with the Quest 2. Also, the settings cannot be changed manually. Please let us know when an update might be available.

pkauffman1 broken thumbstick control is very low priority fix. They will take their time, it's not a big deal to the deovr developers. Can you guess what they are thinking...

I'm also experiencing the issue where the thumbpads stop working. I'm using a Quest 2 with Meta Quest Link. My current DeoVR version is 15.1.3422 and the problem persists.

I also have the same issue. It has never worked for me on PCVR.

It reads at the top: ''Support for the Quest 2 and Quest Pro is being reduced. We strongly recommend upgrading to the Quest 3S to continue enjoying DeoVR at its best.''

Since quest 2 thumbstick not working and the timing suggested upgrade to quest 3.
This could mean something, because some quest 3 users like myself thumbstick working just fine. Just speculation 😮

parrotcave @kazik1981o2 The issue with the thumbsticks is unrelated to Meta’s plans to deprecate Quest 2/Quest Pro. These two matters are not connected in any way.

My quest 3 thumbstick is working on deovr steamvr version
Just make sure to reconfigure controller again once inside deovr player. Also maybe check externally if steamvr can detect your controller as well

Is this some kind of joke? I have to spend a few hundred dollars just to use DEOVR? This seems intentional to me, as if they were profiting from the sale of Quest 3. I don't believe it's that difficult to fix the joystick in Quest 2 with LinkPC. The joystick works when I use DEOVR in Quest 2 itself, so I don't understand why it's so hard to fix it with PC.

Perhaps joystick control is extremely challenging to the best of software coders.
Not sure if anyone agrees, but at this point I might as well accept it is. What week is it now : )

I have quest 3 and still have the issue, but im not trying to use steamvr or airlink or whatever, everything was perfectly fine before, what gives. Here is my setup..

METAQuest3 --> Virtual Desktop(run as admin) --> DeoVR player --> VR media on my PC

Anyway, what other program are you all using to watch VR? like no thumbsticks, tf? lol

There is no choice at the moment.
To get joystick working your only options are quest 3 must solely use pc steamvr environment and launch deovr downloaded through steam store, Or use deo inside headset standalone. For quest 2 some say standalone mode works as well

Deovr joystick through the Pc Meta Link environment will not work until the deovr developer enables/allows it

Here are a few things you can try:

Fully restart your Quest (power off, then back on)

Unpair and re-pair the controllers

Check for a firmware/software update or rollback option

If nothing works, contact Meta support for a fix or replacement (some units with “software update issues” have been replaced)
