For what it's worth,
a photo of the outdated oculus rift-s controller shows up as background image in deoplayer settings on pc-link (Meta Quest Link) the version with the issue.
And for other version such as steam-pc vr has the updated meta quest controller background image, the version with no issue.
Little rant:
Maybe a glanced over update issue. But in my deep opinion it's done on purpose to artificially pump forum traffic activity. Think about every few update you get dumb 1 minute fix bugs, it's a pattern. My all time historic favorite was when a-b loop magically was said could not be fixed nearly a month... good times
