Release Candidate 13.12.2 (Timeline Preview, Quest 3 thumbstick fix)

Hey everyone!
Release Candidate 13.12.2 is available for Oculus/Meta today and Steam.
If you want to participate follow the instructions here.
Feel free to give it a spin and let us know if you find any issues.
Full release is coming roughly one week from now.

Release notes:

New Features:

The video timeline on DeoVR now includes a watchtime graph.
Added the option to autoplay videos on DeoVR.
Video preview on the timeline is now available on all platforms.

Improvements:

Alpha packing is now available for all DLNA videos.

Bug fixes:

Fixed the missing info tab for some videos.
Fixed the player flashing when switching between videos.
The storage permission prompt now appears when opening the file browser.
Fixed the Mistika URL history not functioning correctly.
Addressed thumbstick compatibility problems on Quest 3 with Quest Link.

I tested it and there is no any change - the problem with the thumbsticks is NOT FIXED via Virtual Desktop and DeoVR Steam version 13.12.2 !

Hello,
A little feedback:

"Alpha packing is now available for all DLNA videos."

I don't find how to install the last version directly inside of Quest 3 and I can't confirm that work now.
It's work with the QuestLink and a DLNA video and I can see the A button presents in the panel but it's not possible to really use the Passthroug function because the back black screen is always present with PC Quest Link. It would be nice if the team can fix that.

Note about the quest 2 it's always the Standard Rift thumbstick showed but it's not blocking

To install the Release Candidate version on Quest 3, you need to enable the RC channel in the Meta Quest app on your phone. Check the instructions in the linked thread.

Video Preview On The Timeline is really neat 🙌
as for Autoplay, i'm not a fan of a countdown. i would love to see the next video being played seamlessly. also a toggle to opt out of Autoplay in general would be great 🙏

Are 120Hz on Quest 3 fixed in this release ?

Yes of course as 90 is not dividable through 60. That means that 60 fps videos do not run really smooth. Besides, there are many native 120 Hz videos available.

120 Hz can be divided through 60, 30 and 24, so most content should work perfectly fine.

The timestamp server (remote control option) seems doesn't correctly work since last version.
The timestamp info are not sent consistently and frequently, creating a timeout on my software side and occurs a disconnection. I don't have the same problem with another VR video player and using the same IP and that excludes a firewall problem on my side. Same problem with DeoVR installed on the PC and using 127.0.0.1 IP.

@KatDEO the "Web View" button is broken in 13.12.2. On third-party web sites that implement the DeoVR API to provide a gallery, we can no longer open the website in the DeoVR browser.
