DeoVR won’t recognize HP Reverb G2 controller

DeoVR is unusable with my new G2. WMR/Steam recognize the G2 controllers just fine. Google Earth works well, for example. But all I get on the title list is a small orange circle that moves with the headset. DeoVR says my controllers are unrecognized and I need a game controller or keyboard and mouse (mine have no effect). Ant help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend using Xbox controller for now

I'm having the same issue. DeoVR works great with Rift S, but isn't usable with Reverb G2 unfortunately.

Same problem here. This is very disappointing as DeoVR is my most-used app. I tried using an X-Box controller in the meantime, but it doesn't seem to recognize that either. Please fix this. Thanks.

Have you tried reinstalling the app? Have you tried to update your software?

Yar Controlers don't work at all. There is only a dot that follows movements of the headset.
That is when I use standalone Deo VR app.
When I use some other software, like SLR, that uses Deo VR player, it works.
My standalone updated automatically to version 8.4. I'll try reinstalling it and will let you know .

I have 2 versions of DeoVR installed, one in Oculus library and one in Steam library. They are installed on different hard drives, The one in the oculus library is version 8.4 and works perfectly with Rift S.
With HP Reverb G2 I can only use the Steam one thru Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR. Not only that controllers don't work, but the UI moves erratically with head movements. Uninstalling it and reinstalling did not fix it. After installation it warns me that it will not work with HP Reverb controllers. It's update history shows version 6.4 as latest update. It is set up to update automatically, but it does not seem to do it.
On DeoVR website download link for WMR version points to Microsoft Store but it ends up on Steam.
Is there a way to install version 8.4 instead of 6.4 on Steam? Or even better, is it possible to install it directly in Windows Mixed Reallity?

Yar As I said before, it won't update, that is the problem. It is set to update automatically, but it doesn't do it.
Is there a way to force it to update? I reinstalled it 2 times on Steam but I always get version 6.4.

Again, as I said before, on DeoVR website the download link to Microsoft store redirects to Steam and it's 6.4 version of DeoVR player. I also searched for DeoVR in Microsoft Store with no results.
Is there any other place i can get it from?
The Oculus one is not working With HP Reverb G2.

You can download the latest version of the DeoVR player from the Steam store, the link I gave above.
After you go to Steam, the latest version 8.4 will be available to you, it has support for your controllers.
Oculus works with HP Reverb G2.

Yar Again, as i said before, I installed it from Steam couple of times in last few days and it does not work with HP Reverb G2. And It's update history shows version 6.4 as the latest update. The poster above says the same thing. We are going in circles.
Anyway, I'm not going to bother you anymore. I appreciate that you kindly responded to all my questions.
It's a free player, so it is what it is.

As of yesterday DeoVR stopped working on my G2.

I went to the steam controller bindings and changed to the custom shared binding by "RektemRectums" and since then even after switching back to default bindings DeoVR has not recognised my controllers.

the only control that does anything is if i move the stick it zooms in and out of the menu.

bbz That's just the page not being updated. When You install you will get the 8.42
I'm supposed to update it, totally forgot about it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
