DeoVR won’t recognize HP Reverb G2 controller

After uninstalling SteamVR , Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR, and DeoVR and then reinstalling in that order my G2 controller started working again in DeoVR

bbz Didn't work for me. There is only small circle cursor that follows headset movements. Controllers do absolutely nothing.

mrsimud Record a video of your screen for me as you enter Steam - install DeoVR player and it gives you version 6.4, no need to send me links to old news. And then launch the application and show the lower left corner.

This is just news about the release. In the store itself, the latest version 8.4 is available at download, which has support for HP controllers.

Sorry about shakiness, i held VR headset in my hands. It does not show the version number in lower left corner.
I said that it was 6.4 because the only info on version I could find was on the update history page on Steam.
I looked on Steam Info, Steam VR info and settings and DeoVR.exe file properties in windows explorer and could not find the version number.
II'm stuck on that first page In DeoVR because HP Reverb controllers don't work and I can't click on anything.
I also looked for alternate controller bindings on Stem VR and there aren't any.

I'm having the same issue...

The odd part is that the controllers worked for a bit, but then stopped and now I can't get them at all. I've even tried reinstalling SteamVR, SteamVR for WMR, and DeoVR Player and the HP Reverb G2 controllers still fail to work... I only get the "headset view" cursor.

I have the same issue too. It worked for a while, but after the last update it will not recognize the G2 controller at all. I also lost all of my settings (favorite folders, video settings) after the last update too.

I've tried everything to fix this. I've uninstalled everything, reinstalled everything, clicked a million things in the SteamVR bindings. Nothing helps. DeoVR simply won't recognize the G2 controller.

I fixed it by deleting the config folder in Steam directory, but i made copy of it before I deleted it in case something goes wrong. Then I launched Steam and it recreated the folder, but it was smaller in size than original (18 kb vs 244kb original). Then I tried DeoVR with Reverb G2 and controllers worked.
I haven't had any problems this far. If I do I'll report it here.

mrsimud I deleted the config folder and now it's working again!!! Thank you for taking the time to share the solution!

The folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config for anyone wondering.
