A crashing app should not happen, no matter which site is used. And DeoVR crashes a lot now.

@devanimate Thanks for getting back to us about the crashes. I see you’re currently on versions v81.0 and v81.1 with your Quest 3. Just so you know, the latest stable Meta Quest firmware is v79. Public Test Channel (PTC) builds like v81 can sometimes cause unpredictable behavior, so it would be really helpful if you could try the app on the official stable firmware and let us know if the issue still occurs.

We’ve been testing on a Quest 3 running v79 and haven’t been able to reproduce the crashes you described. Running the stable firmware on your side will help us narrow down the cause.

Also worth noting: based on META Public Testing community feedback, the v81 PTC build has seen a high number of crash reports for various apps. You can see more details here:

@spyro Could you share a bit more detail about the crashes you’re experiencing? Specifically, which device and firmware version are you using when the crashes occur? Also, are there any particular steps or patterns that seem to trigger the issue so I can try to reproduce it on my side? Your help with this is greatly appreciated.

damson Hey it seems like the crash is happening only on slr (sexlikereal.com) this is probably why you are not able to reproduce it. The app is fine when you are on deovr.com but the moment you switch to slr it crashes after 20 min-30min in the video

devanimate I can confirm that running a Quest 3 on firmware V79 and switching from DeoVR to SLR content this time around did not cause any crashes. Tried replicating the various pointers and scenarios you had highlighted, and still no crashes are observed.
Could you please revert your Quest 3 to Meta’s production firmware (current V79) and let me know if the issue persists on your side? Please note that we are unable to provide support for issues occurring on devices running on beta firmwares (PTC) with DeoVR app.

damson Ah, okay so this must be one of those PTC updates that broke it. I’m not able to revert back to v79, but I’ll wait for the next update. Thank you for your help.
