Yar I really appreciate the function of your vr player. I'm using Quest2 now. When can I use pico4? Will it appear in pico4 stores in China? Now Pico4 supports the sidequest platform. It's hard to upload it to the platform for testing!

yxdx12 We have added App to both stores - internal and external. Now App is being reviewed - it will be available in the store immediately after the review.

New Features:

Added passthrough support to PICO Neo 3
You can enable passthrough inside Player Options under Passthrough panel

Improvements:

Chroma key/passthrough
Added color wheel to make it easier to choose colors instead of using sliders
Changed Color Range option maximum value from 100 to 1000
Renamed Opacity to Falloff option and changed the maximum value from 100 to 1000
Note: chroma key algorithm was changed, so any previous configuration might look different now
Playlists
Added possibility to Shuffle playlists
Added possibility to Loop Favorites, Watch Later and your custom playlists
Suggested playlist list is now active by default
Selecting a playlist will automatically play the first video in it
Changed browser engine from Gecko to Chrome on Android devices

What about putting the apk somewhere else for download? We all know how to sideload, and especially on the Pico it's very easy.

Yar For PICO users, sidequest is a really dumb choice.
You first have to install the PC version, or the apk on another Android device, connect the HMD via USB cable, and only then can you install the standalone apk on the HMD.
Which is totally dumb, because for the Pico, you could just download the standalone apk and install it directly on the HMD.
I know, this is because of the limitations of Meta's walled garden, but nevertheless.
To much effort just to install DeoVR.
Why do so many software developers have a problem with just providing the apk for direct download?

Yar Yes, if only there was a direct apk installation package. I wonder if the author will provide it

hi can you please provide the APK my sidequest won't let me download it since it is not detecting my headset pretty please 🙂

Sully In order for it to detect your headset, you need to switch to developer mode. Check more information here.

New Features:

Support for Meta Quest Pro
Haptic feedback on controllers when hovering over buttons, sliders and scrollbars (except for Pico and HTC Vive)
- You can disable haptic feedback inside Global Settings under Player and switch Controllers vibration switch to off
New virtual environment for Christmas
- It will automatically switch to it if you have default (black) background, otherwise you can find it inside Global Settings under Personalize and select Christmas 2022

Improvements:

H265 is now the default codec on PICO devices
Build-Your-Own-Journey (BYOJ) now ignores empty jumps
Quality and encoding dropdown is now hidden when playing videos that do not support it
Virtual environments are no longer affected by software re-center
Chroma key/passthrough:
- Color range slider is now less sensitive
- Color box is now visible when dragging sliders
- Improved performance when using color wheel
