Hi,
So far checking metadata suggests compatibility, but I would like to confirm if I can safely use a 3rd order ambiX audio input when encoding a monoscopic video using the FB360 Encoder (Matroska preset)?
Thanks!

Hello!
You will not be able to 3d order through the FB360. In any case, you will need to convert to TBE.

Thanks for the reply, I assume you mean that even if I use a 3OA input it simply encodes it to the 8+2 correct?
When selecting the Matroska preset you can't choose a .tbe as input, as of FB v3.3.3, there are only spatial workstation 8 channel, 1st, 2nd and 3rd order ambix as valid audio inputs.
Unless I have to mux the .tbe with the video afterwards...?
You still get 8 channel TBE. If you need to convert from TBE to WAV there is a "File - convert TBE to WAV" menu. You just need an 8 channel audio track. Head-Locked if not needed - load an empty stereo track.
