Android 4k or +4k files

Hello,

DeoVR is an amzing player. Used it with a PC and an Oculus. But now I do all videos on an Android Phone (Xperia XZ1 Premium).

My Phone is really made for 4k Video, ever the dispaly was one of the first with real 4k.

DeoVR is also on Anroid amazing, but I can not palyback videos with 2160p or higher. Alle videos up to 1920p and 2048p work great, but not 2160p or more. I can palyback these files with VLC on my phone. But DeoVR displays the message "unsupported file format".

Anything I can do?

Tony plain mp4 files. Mixed source, also loaded from video platforms...

Xperia Can you install VP9 extension from the Microsoft store? It's free.

Tony Thanks, No intaller for Android, should be supported by Android 9.0 and my phone. Other players do playback 4k files on my phone.

Xperia OMG, sorry! I got things mixed up. You don't need any VP9 installer for Android phones 🙂
