Many thanks for your support. Like others, I would very much miss DEOVR if I could no longer use it.
I have an intermittent problem which I suspect started in version 14.0. The playing sometimes freezes and I get random 50 and 100 text labels coming in and out of view. They appear “float” about and then disappear. The numbers have the speaker volume icon in front of them a bit like )))50 or )))100 [where ))) is the speaker volume icon]. When these issues occur and you recentre the recentring box and video freeze, with the box showing “5” and the program crashes. If I reload the app it can work fine for some time or exhibit the problems immediately.

I have some more information that might help.
When I tried recentred the app froze and other apps also crashed. I found in Task Manager the following Background processes were frozen,
Films & TV (2)
Microsoft content (2)
Search (3)
Windows Default Lock Screen…..
Windows Shell Experience Hos….
I also found when it freezes it sometimes sets the video to Pause and you can restart it. Other times you have to restart.
I have a few screen shots but your Insert Picture does not work.
It may be something to do with centering, you had issues with this in previous releases?

Are you using Quest 3 or other headset? What kind of video card and CPU you are using in your PC ? Windows 10 or 11?

DeoVR seems no longer support old android apps and other old platforms. SteamVR and Quest platform are the ones they are supporting. They seem to be willing to support local playback for a long time, at least they won't retire the feature.

A little out of date but I would expect still sufficient?
Indeed it is good to see there is likely continued support.
There have been issues on many recent releases. I guess it is hard with so many system permutations. Hopefully we can get back to the stability we have all enjoyed soon 🙂.

I have though just found the same issue playing videos from your home screen.

There is something that I am doing that might cause issues. When I start the HP Reverb G2 head set it opens in Windows Mixed Reality Portal. From this I select DEOVR, and when this opens it uses Steam. There are other routs but both Mixed Reality and Steam seem to be always both running/used. I do not know if this is correct or over complicated, is there a direct path to DEOVR?

I've just done a test where on opening DEOVR I never recentered and didn't encounter any issue. As I mentioned previously, I suspect this is related to the recentering function. There were issues with this that I believe were fixed in the issue before 14.0. Then the issues I see likely introduced in 14.0. I'll continue to not recenter and see if this consistently prevents the issue.
