Tony It seems like an unintended side-effect, would it be easier for you guys to fix it or XBVR? Please work with them to resolve the issue rather than pushing the responsibility. A lot of your users rely on XBVR working on DeoVR.
Tony Or is there any work around for the time being? Could you provide me the previous version of DeoVR apk for quest 2 so I can sideload? thanks

We can't fix it as the change is deliberate for web functionality. Even though many users use the app as a local video player, it is built for streaming services. Hence the built-in web browser.
It's also why SMB isn't really a priority.
Hi guys since the last update some videos are not displaying correctly and the interface doesn't display the correct drop down button. Sometimes it doesn't even display an option There is a steam page with others having the same problem.

Can you check this out please. The previous version of the player allowed us to select 180, 360 etc for any video type and it worked perfectly. The new automatic detection system doesn't seem to work on all videos so having the option to manually do it ourselves will resolve this.
godrichman it's likely that you videos have the wrong suffix. If there's a suffix specified in the video filename, DeoVR will assume it's correct and doesn't allow you to change it anymore. I don't think that is good behaviour and i hope it will be different again in future releases.
To fix it now, either fix the suffixes, or get rid of them entirely so you'll get to choose in the app again.
