Passthrough AI vs Alpha

Hey. I see a new "Passthrough AI" option in DeoVR that appears on some videos.

Can we get a description of what this is?
Is it a precomputed mask? Is the mask made in real time?
As consumers, can we make masks for any video we like?

metrocube hi, Ai Passthrough is using mask pre-created by an AI and then it is streamed together with the video.
Currently there is limited amount of such videos, but in time it should be possible to request creation of PT for certain videos.
Please, keep in mind this is just a Beta, so we are still testing the technology out and will be improving it.

Seems it isnt real time mask but precomputed unfortunately ... Generally the AI PT idea sounds good but it is very bad implemented so far. You cant make any masks and it works just with very few vids and only via web DeoVR streaming vids.
From what i saw so far the PT quality is horrible and the vids are practically unwatchable ... So stick to the Alpha for now !

Kieshi Instead of (or in addition) to AI-generated masks, it would be nice if users can upload their own black and white luma matte that can be used to remove backgrounds from videos. It will probably result in much cleaner more accurate masks.
