13.13 freezes on "Loading..." on Oculus Rift S
- Edited
thebassist when you try to open the app, it freezes on "Loading"; correct? You do not get to the point of seeing the grid?

Kieshi I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to when you say grid. I see the grid that is present when you are not using any apps in the Oculus interface. To avoid any confusion, I managed to take a screenshot of exactly where it gets frozen in VR.
and my PC's desktop just show's the DeoVR window with nothing in it. Here's a screenshot of that:
I'm using an Oculus Rift S on Windows 11 with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070. Let me know if you need any more info.
boboweb Aw this didn't work for me. I think my setup has different issues with SteamVR. There's no stuttering or flickering on the loading screen it just loads in a weird orientation and doesn't detect my controllers. Changing the per eye resolution to 20% had no effect.

Pity to hear - guess the problem is bigger then and hope they will fix it asap . Actually my "solution" works for VD and SteamVR per eye resolution and as i see from your screenshot you dont use any of them but Quest Link ?
thebassist sorry for not being clear in explaining myself, now I understand better what is the problem and we will try to find a solution
i have a similar issue. I have been using my Pico 4 with VD since December last year without issues
also, any chance we can have the Christmas 2022 virtual environment?
MrRafreefro I will check with the team about it, thank you for reporting!
boboweb Oh I've been trying to get both the Oculus store version AND the SteamVR version to work since they're installed as separate programs and neither works, but they freeze at different places in the process. It was the SteamVR per-eye resolution that I adjusted as you suggested in my previous reply to you, but I am showing screenshots and mainly talking about my issues with the Oculus version in this topic. I don't blame you for being confused lol.
Same issue here. The "Loading" screen will stay there forever.
Though on my system the mirror view on the computer screen will show the DeoVR environment.
SteamVR version doesn't do anything for me. Just black.
Using the Oculus Rift (the old one) with a windows 10 machine.

MrRafreefro could you please specify for me the version of VD: Native Oculus or Steam?
Also could you please send me a player log to try identify the problem?

Kieshi I'm not the OP, but I also have the same problem described in the thread when running through the Oculus app, where it gets stuck on 'Loading' when starting DeoVR and never boots up. This only started happening within the last couple of updates and has functioned fine prior to this. The Steam VR version still appears to work fine though.
For reference, I'm using the latest version of the Oculus app (version 60.0.0.162.352) with an Oculus Rift CV1.
When the problem occurs and when looking at the running processes with Task Manager I can see that UnityCrashHandler64.exe is running, but not visible on the desktop. The Event Viewer consistently has an error message similar to the following though which may point to some kind of access violation with UnityPlayer.dll:

Kieshi thank you for responding mate..
I am using VD - DeoVr under list of Oculus games.. normally just by clicking on the DeoVR icon the app loads and then switches from the VD environment to the DeoVR 3D dome, now as shown in the screenshot earlier, the DeoVR app is launched on the 2D screen within the VD environment and remains in a frozen state..
if its possible to revert to an older revision of the DeoVR app that would be great as well.

Kieshi Hi Kieshi, first of all thank you so much for the continuous support to everyone on this forum. I just thought I would share with you and everyone else that I have fixed the problem I was having. I just had to change the settings below in VD to VDXR and Xbox and that solved the problem, they are normally set to automatic by default.
cabowabo82 hello, sorry for a late reply! Could you please confirm that this issue is still present?
