HEVC 5K directshow shuttering

Hi all,

I have an Oculus Rift S and when I play some 5K HEVC videos encoded the player always turn on the "DirectShow" feature and when i try to turn it off, it instantly turns on again.

The video seems to runs well on VLC and the Windows 10 player.

When I play the video with Directshow it's shuttering and when I look into the task manager my CPU is used at 100% while my GPU idle.

I tried installing the HEVC thing at 1$ on the Windows store, LAV Filter, Ffdshow without any changes.

It looks like you need a complete cleaning of the codecs and then install the codec from the Microsoft store on a clean system.

Fixed by going to "Add or remove programs", going to HEVC video extention, advances options, reset, then reinstalling it

zagor77 For future refference, to check compatibility, try playing the video in the Microsoft app
Movies & TV
(Film & TV in some English localization Windows settings)

If it works there, it should work in DeoVR.
