We officially released our new app for GalaxyXR headsets - passed all reviews, received all the necessary blessings, and are now live on Google Play.

The app turned out genuinely powerful:

8K videos are sharp
Passthrough AI is on board
The features are packed: local files playback, uploads to DeoVR Drive - everything you might need!

Version 2605.1.3 is not just another build. It's our little victory parade in Google Play and we will keep improving onwards.

I am flying to South Korea in 2 weeks and wanted to pick up a Galaxy XR over there, but that only makes sense if DeoVR is available for the headset 😃

Why is hardware sharpness being forced in the newest update? It definitely makes for a lower fidelity image.

When will the customizations be available on the GXR version, things like assigning buttons to specific tasks (like hotkeys), screenshots, etc. It is very clunky to navigate a video right now without these shortcuts.

DeoVR worked great for viewing photos on Pico and Quest, but it doesn't seem to work at all on GXR. The app only seems to work for videos now. Will image viewing be added?

AWhen will DeoVR Hyper be available for GXR? Maybe that will address some of the above.

player37645 The developers will add proper bindings, but we don't have an ETA.
Photos should work well in the app. Please send the photo ID you tried to open and how you did it.
As for the Hyper, no details yet.

DariaDeoVR All the photos I have tried are on local storage. I've tried 2D and VR180 3D photos. Every time the player tries to open it as a video, which causes the app to freeze up - I can't even back out to the previous folder.

DariaDeoVR What about just the main gesture, holding the grip button on Samsung's VR controllers to change pitch and yaw by default (i.e. moving the dome around), just like in regular DeoVR on Quest? Currently, holding the grip button moves around the UI instead and the video doesn't move.

How do I access JillVR on the Galaxy XR? I'm quite confused. It doesn't seem possible. There I was thinking about buying the lifetime subscription, but it doesn't even seem to work at all...

If I add JillVR (or SLR) inside the app, when I click the button to go into VR mode, it just puts me into DeoVR every time.

If I ignore the app and instead try web VR via the Chrome browser, if I go to deovr.com/hub and click the VR button, it correctly puts me into DeoVR in immersive VR. But if I go to jillvr.com/hub and click the VR button, it puts me into... DeoVR again in immersive VR.

Even without a VR headset you can check this on your regular computer: jillvr.com/hub just goes to DeoVR, not JillVR. Is it bugged?

Is it just impossible to access this service on the Galaxy XR?

If you want to watch JillVR content on a headset in VR mode, you can only do so in the DeoVR app at the moment.
As for the SLR, please note that we don't provide technical help for third-party services.

DariaDeoVR Are you suggesting that the DeoVR app is supposed to let me access the whole JillVR library? Because it doesn't, as far as I can tell. I can only access DeoVR through the DeoVR app. Now if the same video is on both DeoVR and JillVR, then I can watch it through the DeoVR app (via the DeoVR platform), but that's not really JillVR then... Thanks.

BlackWalrus The DeoVR Hub for GalaxyXR is different from the DeoVR for Quest headsets.
JillVR will be accessible on the DeoVR Hub for GalaxyXR in future releases 🙏
