I have a Flat 3D video recorded from gameplay, formatted in Half Top and Bottom (Half-TAB).
The resolution of the video is 3840×2160, with left and right eye views arranged vertically—each occupying 3840×1080 pixels.
※ Please note: this is not Full-TAB (where each eye view is full-sized vertically), but Half-TAB, meaning each eye view is compressed to half the vertical resolution.
I have two questions regarding playback behavior:
Local playback issue
When I play the video locally using the DeoVR app and rename the file with the "_TB" suffix, it is recognized as a stereoscopic video.
However, the vertical display appears squashed to half its intended height.
What I expect is proper Flat 3D playback at 3840×2160 resolution using the Half-TAB format.
Could you clarify why this happens, and whether there is a correct setting or workaround to display it properly?
Upload playback format issue
When uploading the video to DeoVR, I can choose playback formats.
For Side-by-Side (SBS), there is a Flat 3D option available.
However, for Top and Bottom (TAB), I don’t see any Flat 3D option.
As a result, the uploaded Half-TAB video is treated as a spherical (e.g., 120–360°) video and displayed incorrectly.
Given these issues, does DeoVR currently support Flat 3D playback for Top and Bottom format—specifically Half-TAB?
If there is any recommended way to enable proper playback or a workaround, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.
Thank you very much.
