What's best view settings?

First of all, hello guys.

What is the "best viewing angle (reality) settings" you use in the DEOVR settings?

With the exception of *VR, videos are either small or very large in other VR studios.

For example, VR* viewing angle is very wide, it doesn't feel realistic.
So is VR*.

Is there any way to fix this? Or how should the View Angle settings be?

The point of view is what I call; Tilt, Height, Weight, Horizontal etc.

Viewing angle? Do you mean viewing horizontally or from lower to top, or from top to lower angle? I thought everyone likes to watch things at the same horizontal level, right?

Or, you mean FOV? For me, FOV is wider the better. I couldn't take HP G2's narrow FOV, even though the image was quite clear. Right now I am using Pimax 5k super, yeah, noticeable screen door effect, but happy with the 200 degree FOV.

Or, you mean the best viewing resolution?
It really depends on your headset and your PC. The general rule is using the fps indicator in the DeoVR settings. If it's over 60fps, then it's good enough. If you see only 30 to 40 fps, you need to change the display size in SteamVR or somewhere, or you can use FSR modded open_vr.dll

Most VR videos are 180 degrees, they don't have "small" or "large". Maybe you mean the thumbnails?

VR videos should be quite realistic. If your videos are not realistic when using wide FOV, then your VR headset has a distortion problem. If you are using a cellphone to watch VR (google cardboard), then most likely you haven't used the right calibration QR code for it yet.

While watching a 3840x2160 resolution video from the VRP site with my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro phone, the actor I watch seems to me to be a very aesthetic and broad physique person. But the status so different in Czech Republic VR sites.

For example, when you see a woman in real life, you see her completely and it is completely real.
But while watching Virtual Reality, the female actor looks completely unreal to me.

I generally watch videos with SidebySide and 180 angles.
I watch with Android and Smartphone.

When I decrease it with the ''-'' key, it gets very small; so i haven't been able to get it in the middle yet.

I couldn't figure out what the "vertical offset" was for either; I think it has something to do with "sidebyside".

I couldn't understand the "height" part either; I guess the height of the character (the actor opposite me) or something.

I don't understand what you mean here man; I'm watching POV (I think FOV). As soon as you open the video, 180, sbs options become active.

Note: I think it is forbidden to use adult sites as references. Censored and abbreviated appropriately.

OK, now I understand your situation.

You need to calibrate your VR cardboard headset. Follow the instructions:

If you do it correctly, in the calibration screen you will see the vertical lines are mostly vertical, and the horizontal lines are reasonable flat. In the end the program will give you a QR code. Keep that QR code for the future usage.

After the calibration, you should see the girl as the way she should be in the real life, maybe even better.

All those settings should be left to 0. The first thing is to calibrate your cardboard program and generating a QR code.
Without calibration, there is no way you can set the 3D view right.

@philpw99 mate. I guess I did what you said.
but I tried to read the QR code from the "settings" button in the lower right corner of DEOVR. It gave "connection error" error.
I was able to download the (Google) Cardboard application and have it read that way.
Could the DEOVR application be set accordingly?
Or do I have to make these settings from DEOVR?

Oh, man, sorry I haven't done the calibration for 2 years. Forgot to tell you the details.
You need to fill the form in that webpage, including Screen to lens distance(mm) , Inter-lens distance (mm)...etc.
At that time I used a digital caliper to measure the distance from the lens to the phone, and the distance between the center of the lens. Then I use the chrome browser in the phone to go to the URL https://wwgc.page.link/xxxxx
Once you see the box-shaped room in your phone, adjust the parameters in your PC to change the view, until you see the lines are reasonably vertical and flat.
Then you click on "generate profile" and it will give you a QR code. You run the "Cardboard" program in your phone, and let "Cardboard" to scan that QR code.

This calibration QR code has nothing to do with DeoVR. It's used only in the "Cardboard" program. Once you did this calibration, all VR program will look "Normal", or they will all share the same distortion problem.

Well, those are for manually generate a QR code. Usually when you buy a VR headset for your phone, the QR code is somewhere on the box already.

If your headset looks like one of them, it's good enough. No need to bother with the detail manual settings you mentioned.

If I can learn the lens settings inside the QR code of a VR Headset, I can adjust it more suitable for my style and glasses.
