TL;DR - Switched to Creator Billing Details to Paypal, and being asked to issue 2 duplicate invoices through both DeoVR's automatic invoicing AND Paypal invoice system. Paypal invoicing won't work for me, and based on my e-mail response I'm worried my DeoVR automatic invoices won't be honored.
Due to the recently added $35 fee per transfer charged by DeoVR, I've changed my billing details on all my channels to Paypal. The details were accepted and I issued the automatic invoices for February content, through the DeoVR 'invoices' page, on the 14th of March, to be paid by the 31st of March.
On the 28th of March, 3 days before payment is due, I receive an e-mail from Billing team on only one of my multiple channels' e-mail. This e-mail states that apart from issuing the automatic invoices on the DeoVR website, I am also required to issue the exact same invoice (with all details) through the Paypal invoicing system on the Paypal website too. Is this an actual requirement, as it isn't stated on the Creator Handbook?
My issue is that Paypal keeps giving me errors when trying to issue any invoice. This is apparently a common issue after looking it up. I've tried multiple different ways :
- Send invoice - billing team's required info in 'Note to your customer'
- Send invoice - billing team's required info in 'terms and conditions'
- Send invoice - simple invoice with just 'amount' and 'service' filled in, and I attached DeoVR's automatically generated invoice as a PDF for the required info.
- Request Payment by E-mail
All attempts are met with errors like :
- "Sorry, we couldn't create your invoice. Please contact our customer service team for any queries."
- "Sorry, we are not able to process your request. Please try again later."
- "Sorry, you're not authorized to perform this action."
I've tried removing cache..etc.., using another browser, using app/PC, adjusting characters (keywords, special characters, etc...). Nothing works. I've even tried to get in contact with Paypal, but the call disconnected while I was on holding for 20 minutes still waiting to be answered, and the live chat sends me copy-pasted messages from the FAQ that are useless.
I've tried telling the billing team, but my response was :
"Hi,
thank you for sent information and updates.
Please let us know when the problem with Paypal will be resolved and we will proceed with payment.
Kind regards,
DeoVR Billing team"
Does this mean my automatic invoice that I issued through DeoVR's site won't be honored because of a request made 3 days before payment is due, to send an exact duplicate invoice through Paypal's system too, which won't work for me?
Sorry for the long message. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out. 😫
