I am serving a local video library to deovr on my oculus1. I create json video descriptions as per https://deovr.com/app/doc/ and I had the weird problem, that changing "stereoMode" and "screenType" just had no effect whatsoever. So some files which were supposed to have a "mkx200" screenType just showed distorted and no matter what I tried - It did not work properly.
I believe deovr is caching some stuff way too agressive. It seems to store the stereoMode and screenType locally, indexed by the "title" property. As soon as I append a single letter to the "title" property suddenly the "stereoMode" and "screenType" get used. So indeed the new json file has been fully loaded. But then I remove the single letter again and deovr falls back to the wrong stereoMode and screenType.
Obviously it is not caching the json video description files themselves, otherwise it would not pick up on the changes to the "title" property. But it seems to somewhere keep a database of "title"-->stereomode mappings around that never get updated by changed json files.
Please fix that, this is highly annoying.
Thank you.
