Wrong controllers detected in Steam version of DeoVR

I have the WMR controllers image and key bindings show up in settings even though I use Oculus Quest2. Reinstalling deovr does nothing. A while ago I had WMR headset but it is long gone now. How can I make this program see the proper controllers?

I do not have WMR installed on my PC, deleted everything that has associated with wmr a while ago. But for some reason DeoVR still thinks I have it. Is there a way to completely whipe clean the DeoVR settings in Windows10? I found some registry keys and deleted them, still no changes.

Bumping this, since I'm dealing with the same issue.
Whenever I'm using Virtual Desktop, DeoVR registers my Quest 2 controllers as WMR.
Using Air Link makes DeoVR recognize my controllers as Oculus Touch like normal.
SteamVR recognize them as Oculus Touch with both Virtual Desktop and Air Link, so the problem only occurs with DeoVR.
Never used WMR before.

Tried reinstalling and clear out as much as I could find in the regedit, but nothing seem to work.

Been using DeoVR for about a year now and have had no problems until now

Hello Kasper,

We managed to reproduce your issue and one of our developers will try to solve it as soon as possible.

In the meantime you can use Oculus Home (https://www.oculus.com/setup/) as a workaround. After installing it you can download DeoVR app in Oculus Store and install it. When the app is installed go to Virtual Desktop games menu and you should see Oculus Games section, under which DeoVR app should be visible. Run this instead of SteamVR version.

Same here. DeoVR is showing the WMR controllers on the settings menu (never used any WMR headset before).

Hello @Yar, so I just posted separate post regarding this exact same issue. Apologies that I didn't search enough before posting but yes +1 for this issue. Very frustrating at the moment due this problem.

Hey hey! Yes, we are aware of this issue, but it takes more time to solve it than we expected. Therefore, we are now busy with higher priority tasks.

Yar Hi do you have any news about a solution ?
I've a quest 3 and my controller is reconize like a rift.
Before it was not a problem with the quest 2 but now the controller has changed and it's not possible to use the pitch with the mini joystick.

boudaba I passed this info to our devs. We're planning to sort out issues with Quest 3 next week to make it fully compatible. Thank you!

boudaba The issue is being solved in the upcoming release.
Natively in Quest 3 controllers work perfectly fine and recognized as Quest Pro.
Will work the same in SteamVR/Oculus Link after the new release 🙂

I am also facing this same problem. Quest 2 controllers are detected by DEO VR as Windows Mixed Reality controllers which causes the analog sticks to be non-operational. This happens when using the Virtual Desktop app (available in quest store) to connect my quest 2 as a PCVR headset. Launching steam when connected via Virtual Desktop then opening DEO VR from steam causes this issue. The same issue is present when using the new STEAM VR Steaming app to connect to PC then launch DEO VR from Steam. Controllers are detected as WMR and analog sticks are non-operational.
