Using a DLNA server (in this case Emby), the aspect ratio of thumbnails for videos are incorrect, causing only part of the image to be shown as a thumbnail.
Things look fine when I browse my library via Emby, so it must be a DeoVR issue.
Is there a fix for this?
We cannot be responsible for third party settings. Perhaps there are some settings that you can change?
At the moment, there are no plans to improve the work of DLNA.
Use a specialize Stash app that I made just for DeoVR. You don't need crappy DLNA. You can set all the poster, link your performers and studios to the scene, link multiple scenes to a movie...etc. Stash gives you all the power to organize your favorite video collections, and it's absolutely free.
Also not only you can browse your collections in DeoVR's browser, you can access the same interface in your PC and phones with more features.
My special Stash for DeoVR:
I am having similar issue. And it seems to be an issue that appears in several threads in the forum. I am also using emby dlna (but also had the same problem with another dlna server).
The posters are showing up as expected but as soon as the video is set to sbs or tab the poster is cropped in half respectively vertically and horizontally. It seems that deovr considers the poster as a video snapshot that has to be cropped to only display one eye picture.
Is it possible to force deovr to consider the poster not a snapshot to prevent the cropping?
