I'm having the same issue, though I discovered a partial workaround at least in my case. For me, while clicking the loop button shows the loop markers are at the end of the video, it's main functionality is actually still present. If you ignore where the loop markers are and click the loop button once for the desired start, and again for desired end point, it will still loop. However, there are definitely a few bugs because it's missing many of it's awesome usual features including:
- The ability to move the loop markers for easier loop creation. Similar to the OP's case, the "A" and "B" loop markers are just stuck at the end of the video. Even though I can manage to create a loop as described above, the markers have no correlation to where the loop actually is, and cannot be moved at all.
- The ability to create a loop and then reliably toggle it on/off. In my case, I can create a loop, but pushing the loop button again sometimes toggles the previously created loop and shows the "clear" button at the end of the video, and other times just starts the loop creation process again so I lose the first one I made.
- Saving loops made on videos after switching to another video or closing the app. Specifically, so the last loop made on any will ALWAYS be there if you go back to that video, until you hit the "clear" button. While I can reliably make one loop, as soon as I leave that video it's like it never existed.
The fine-tuning looping functionality and the feature of DeoVR saving the loops you made on each video was the best part and has been there for years. I came back after a couple years of not being able to use the app and while I was happy to see it boot up, was disappointed that the looping was broken. Please, please fix. 🥺
Currently using DeoVR through Steam with a Vive Cosmos Elite. I always have it set to update automatically, so I have the most current version as of January 6, 2024. Please let me know if you need any other logs or info because I really miss these features.
