Further information: I tried installing DeoVR for Oculus and now, when using the SteamVR version of DeoVR, this brief scene change no longer occurs. I uninstalled the Oculus version and this improvement remained. However, now I've noticed that as my scenes fades in from black (using Adobe Premiere's "Cross Dissolve" effect), the scene briefly "ripples" before becoming stable. This same behavior occurs at the end of the scene when it dissolves back to black. It kind of feels like as one end of the board is nailed down the other end pops up. I'm working on a VR research project involving human subjects and its important none of these issues occur while collecting data.
