I have this issue since July. This happends only with VR videos and only with this app. Anybody else? Does anybody know how to fixe it? I've only find the "force mono" option as partial solution...
Thanks in advance

Did you try turn on the "DirectShow" ? It fixes my video playback problem.
corteza
yes, but that didn't work @philpw99.

Hello!
Could not report more details so we can investigate this?
For example, what version of the application are you using. Is there a similar effect on all videos or just one? Config your PC? If you open the video in Windows Media Player - will it play well?
Thank you!

Hi,
My specs:
DeoVR ver. 9.8 (last one)
Lenovo explorer Mixed reality
Windows 10 ver. 21H1
Nvidia Gforce GTX 1060, drivers ver. 471,68
DirectX 12
16 GB RAM
Intel i7 processor
K-lite codec pack for codecs (last version)
This flickering in left eye only happens with this app while I watch VR videos and stops when I try the "Force mono" option; other VR players work well. Other games or apps works also without any problem. Deo VR used to work well until july. I tried default config for Deo VR and nothing changed.

I had encountered flicker problem. Maybe it's different than yours.
When my flickering happens, the left eye and right eye are seeing very different images. It seems the default HEVC codec is decoding the video in a wrong way, so my left eye keeps flickering and right eye sees a hugely distorted image. I fixed this problem by turning on the "DirectShow".
So this is why I am curious about your problem. When the flickering happens, do you see normal image in your right eye?

Yes I do, The right image is normal. Seems another kind of problem because turning on "DirectShow" doesn't do anything and the flickering appeared before updating the last video codecs. I think that these problem appeared with a Deo VR update (I reinstalled the app in case but this didn't do the trick...)
Yar
Hi, try deleting k-light. And try to watch VR video on 264 codec. Will there be flicker again?
Also check the VR video quality settings in Steam (SteamVR settings - video - reset page to default).

I think the proper first step is to get the older version of DeoVR and run it. See what happens.

I have found an old version 8.X on the internet and it works fine, no flickering at all. I'll wait until 2022 to install a newer version. Thanks
