Kieshi , here are the answers:
1) When watching flat side by side 3D videos or photos, usually those images were recorded as side by side images, purely horizontal displacement between the right and left images. So by applying a curvature to the screen it causes a distortion to the original file format that makes it less realistic and takes it away from the intended format. Also, when the source material has little imperfections between left eye and right eye, a curved screen amplifies the issue and can induce nausea more quickly. Maybe some people would enjoy having the option of curved screen for SBS imagery, but my guess is that flat screen would look better in most cases, therefore it should be the default.
2) I'm using the Meta store version on a Quest 2 (standalone, not connected to a PC). See an example of the issue here ( That round thing in the middle is supposed to be perfectly round, as it is perfectly round in my original 2D images. But it renders in the current version of Deo VR as an oval (the height of the "circle" is larger than its width).
3) Thank you. I haven't noticed that before. But now I see that option doesn't appear if the video was uploaded (by error or on purpose) as a flat video. Is there a way I can freely change 3D_SBS, 3D_TB, flat, 180, or 360 for any video uploaded by others?
