No. Using it in the light or dark makes no difference.
It's not a tracking issue. I can see the depiction of the G2 controller in VR while in DeoVR. It tracks fine through the full 6 degrees of freedom.
The issue is that of the 'laser' pointer that projects from the controller, that is used to interact with the UI. In the WMR Portal (the cliff house, for instance), the laser line projects out perpendicular to the controller's sensor ring, which is fine.
In DeoVR the 'laser' pointer projects out upwards at an angle of about 30 degrees (I looked at it again and realised it's not 45).
