I have a H.265 video muxed with Dolbly Digital 5.1 audio. When this video is played in Windows, using Media Player Classic, we hear Dolby Digital 5.1 from the motherboard's S/PDIF optical connection. Media Player Classic (ver. 1.7.13.112) is using LAV Filters ver. 0.70.2.66.
When I set either Oculus Rift or Vive Index to use Windows default audio output -- not the VR headphones -- the audio output becomes PCM stereo, not DD 5.1 AC3.
Is there a way for the native AC3 bitstream to be passed by Deo VR player?
