Says I need VP9 codecs but I already have them

Multiple videos won't run in DeoVR but work perfectly fine in VLC player. It says it's a lack of VP9 codecs but I've tried both the ones from microsofts store (with a hard reset after install) and some codec packs for deoVR some linux users were recommending as a solution.

Do you think the videos working in VLC player verifies that deoVR should be able to play them or does anyone have another suggestion?

bishopp VLC uses it's own codec library. DeoVR uses the Windows library.
Have you tried installing LAV and HEVC for Windows?
I suggest installing k-lite first before spending money on Windows HEVC

I have this same issue. Installing k-lite does not work for me.

crzsqlz Try uninstalling and cleaning the system from installed codecs. And then install k-light again.

And when that doesn't work, use the instructions here https://steamcommunity.com/app/837380/discussions/0/3151934575294138631/ to download a pre-9.0 version of DeoVR which doesn't have this issue.
