[unknown] It sounds like you think the Quest drift is worse than it really is. From what I've seen, using the Quest 2 in 3DOF mode in the dark, it doesn't drift anywhere near as much as a phone. Content stays centered with no real drift. Sometimes the controller/pointer will drift a bit but it's easy to correct that in seconds by briefly turning on some light source (flashlight/lamp/etc).
I can understand the disdain for the Facebook account requirement. Is it really such a big problem though? There's nothing stopping you from creating and using a burner account, especially if you have no plans to buy anything from the Oculus store.
Once again, phone VR is dead (and almost buried) and it's very unlikely that anyone is going to spend any time developing for it. You should really consider buying a headset for a better experience.
