Though the CGI backgrounds is a great feature to have, other players already have this for years. Skybox player has a few amazing backgrounds when watching movies. I used it and like it, but then I turned it off because it was the movie that matters, not the background. Even an awesome background could become a distraction when the movie was playing.
And DeoVR still needs to figure out the custom ratio problem. A 3D movie might be full-sbs or half-sbs, and there is no way in DeoVR to set the ideal aspect ratio when watching movies. Skybox solved the problem by providing a very simple option choice. I hope DeoVR could do the same. Also DeoVR should give customers the freedom to choose the 3D/VR projection type freely, and not disable it because the file name.
