There's one more thing I want to point out related to viewing photos. When transitioning the next photo, the image freezes, so when you turn your head when it is loading the next image you will see black empty spaces outside of the latest viewpoint. This causes some discomfort and a suggestion would be to do a smooth double buffered transition. This allows the viewer to keep looking around while the next image is being processed, then finally make the image flip when the next image is fully loaded into memory.
