Version 13.12.1.1 -- "Playback Resume" and AB Repeat broken (FIXED)

Release 13.12.1.1 has a bug with the "Playback Resume" feature, which completely fails to work at all anymore. I believe this has been mentioned by others, but wanted to share my experience and testing notes.

I have tested on a fresh Windows 10 install (with fresh Oculus , Steam and Deo VR installs over top). On this system, I tested the v.13.12.1.1 build downloaded via Oculus as well as the v.13.12.1.1 build via Steam - and the bug seems to definitely be present there in each of these releases, and is definitely NOT a result of configuration getting garbled (messed up) with an update made to an already installed instance on my primary system.

The "AB Repeat" feature appears to be still working for me while playing a video. However, like the "Playback Resume" feature not storing/recalling the last viewed position, the AB points data is not retained for that video when returning to that same video at a later time. This same behavior is seen in both Oculus (Meta) and Steam packages. Though once an AB

I too have this problem. It surprises me that this thread is limited to two users. Your features for editing the viewing setup and playing back each time are, for me, one of your greatest features. It enables viewing edit, without loosing the the whole video or having to save a modified additional file. The loss of this feature is great and I suggest many more feel the same.
Could you please advise if/when a fix will be issued and will it restore previously made settings?
I'll add, a fix that does not restore previous settings will result in a lot of lost user effort.

I've also just noticed that some videos only play in 2D side by side, no matter what setting whilst others play in 3D/VR, even though they have the same mp4 file extension. This renders some videos unplayable.

I too have the issue with the preferences settings for the video not saving. This is extremely frustrating. Each time I load a video/image, I have to adjust all of the parameters from scratch again. Please fix this DeoVR!!!

That said, I did notice that, when locked in 6DoF (in the case of transparent images), I can now tilt/yaw/roll and the perspective is still 6DoF realistic, which is super cool. Not sure if that was this release or earlier, but it's awesome.

Worked out how to get 3DVR, the SBS selection was in a different place.
The original problem remains.

Some time ago I asked if we could have access to, or save somehow, the file(s) with these setting. The reason being, when I upgraded my hardware, I had to manually repeat the whole process. I'm basically looking for a way to save/safeguard them in case of a hardware failure or upgrade. This would be much appreciated and probable a great feature, adding to your, already best in class< system.

When we had this recent issue I was a bit concerned that recovery may not have been possible. Having such a back up proven unnecessary but would have eased concerns and in different circumstances may have proved valuable for all 🙂

I can confirm that with version 13.12.1.2, the saving/persistence of user set parameters per video appears to work again, and are properly retained between views. While I haven't tested extensively, the "Resume Playback" and "AB Repeat" functions I had reported were broken with the previous version are now working again, and are once again being properly saved/retained between views.
