I’m wondering if the team has looked into supporting iOS 14 yet? When the app launches, the home screen tumbles out of control in an endless loop. Thanks!

This is not a DeoVR bug, this is an iOS bug. Many VR apps are broken. See iOS 14 broke VR

Yar when is the next update is plan to be release... I open APP store everyday in hope I’m seeing and DeoVR new version ... but since 4 weeks nothing to support ios14

Im experiencing the same since Beta 5 of iOs14.... normally this is been look before the OS is release !!! Now that it’s release !!! What are you going??

Just for information. If you restart your iPhone and launch the app - it works. Until you relaunch the app - swipe off from the launched apps and launch again.

I downloaded the new version but it does not seem to solve the problem. Tested on iphoneX and iphone 6S.
The tip provided by @Aazamandius works for the first DeoVR launch after phone reboot, then the app starts shaking the screen again :-)

I'm running iOS 14.0.1 on an iPhoneX.

Just installed DeoVr 8.3.

Opened the app and the screen is spinning out of control.

Restarted the phone and the app but get the same result when I start the app again.

When I click on < in the top left corner the screen freezes then the app crashes.

It might be that the app is using GVR and that is broken in iOS14. Switching to the new CardbordSDK should fix it.

That is not how I understand it. It's not an iOS bug. It seems that older versions of the Google Cardboard SDK (probably used used by DeoVR and others) are now obsolete and not compatible with iOS14. As already stated by N8Flight (and seen on many forums), building the App with a newer version of the SDK solves the problem.
I guess it's easier said than done since the new SDK may not be 100% fully compatible with the way DeoVR currently interacts with it.

The app still doesn't work on my iPhone. Will there be a fix for this?!

There's not much we can do atm. It requires a lot of upgrade. Initially Apple could have it fixed, but they won't.

I'd recommend you guys to upgrade to Quest 2. iPhone was never a good device for VR.

iPhones were not meant for VR, nor are they supported any longer. We will fully cease iPhone app support on January 31st, 2021
