Stream from plug in storage

I have a plug in hard drive where I store my movies but I seem to be unable to connect this to the DEO VR app to view the files when the hard drive is plugged into my laptop.

I have tried to share the drive and the folder for Everyone but in the file explorer in the DEO app, it doesn't show.

Can anyone help with this as I am having to resort to SkyBox which doesn't always work and more often than not, experiences lag.

No mention of what kind of headset ( Quest 2, Windows WMR, Pimax, HTC, or others ? )
No mention of what kind of laptop ( Intel or AMD? Mac or PC ?)
No mention of what kind of GPU (Nvidia or AMD? )
No mention of which platform the headset runs ( SteamVR, OpenVR, Cardboard, Oculus Airlink or Quest 2 native ?)
No mention of the file format ( mkv or mp4?), file system format ( NTFS or exFAT ?), driver letter available? USB or Thunderbolt ?
No mention of the way you make the headset access the file (local, SMB, http or DLNA? )
Well, can anyone help without these information ?
