Ad banner seems to interfere with browser back button

Hello, I'm trying to watch videos on my favorite pornography site (pornhub). When navigating there a banner ad appears above the browser. Clicking the browser back button causes the ad banner to blank out and reload, but doesn't navigate back to the previous page. Are there any workarounds? Or can I disable the ad banner somehow?

I'm using Deo VR on a PC with the oculus rift launched through the Oculus store.

This is fun to try to take a screenshot of.

Anyhow hitting the back button makes the ad blink and reload. I can be on any page within the site and can't navigate backwards which makes navigation difficult.

Any progress or workaround on this issue? Still encountering this problem on any non-whitelisted site like SLR, DeoVR. As you see in the gif, the banner container seems to be occluding the navigation buttons. On SLR.com the buttons works just fine. This is making the browser completely unusable for any other site.

This problem is further aggravated by the fact that there isn't a functional back hotkey or forwards/backwards site navigation key that works outside SLR left/right pagination.

Using A Reverb G2 in native res, 100% steam scaling (so ~3200x3200 per eye), XBox or G2 controller. Steam version.

It might actually just be the back functionality that's broken on other "non-official" sites, i'm noticing the same flicker of the ad when I use the binding for the back button.
